I've gotta say that this guy has major history and is really makin' some fuckin' bitchen boards! They work and hold in some serious juice! the bottom contouring is insane and the bevelled rails really make this board crank a turn like no other! I got this handshaped by John a few years back and I'm most impressed! And this guy is a contemporary of Steve Lis and was shaping fishes since then so I guess it's no wonder! 5'10" x 20 1/2" x 2 1/2"

John made several boards for me when I lived in OB 71 -73. One had little fins glassed on (71) that really held in during hard bottom turns. John made a squash tail for me that had a channel down its entire length. Accelerated out of turns and cutbacks like crazy. John was an artist and way ahead of his time. He made my best ridding boards ever. Thank you John. Hope you’re well. Last time i saw you was Fall of 72. I was off to the Merchant Marines, and lost touch.
